I feel like these took me forever, but they only took me a little over a week doing bits here and there. I'm quite happy with the results.

Ramadan, Eid, Sickness and Health?
8:46 PM 0 Comments couchcrochetcrumbs, etsy, Knitting, Patik, Turkish Knitting
Yes, I know. But I have a reason so you can't be angry that its been THIS long since I've posted anything on this blog. To begin with around (and before) Ramadan my grandmother was very sick and my aunty and I took it in turns to look after her, she had a really bad fall and started bleeding and I was absolutely pedantic so I couldnt leave her. Anyway thank God she's all better and back to cooking now, but i still go there once a week to check on her.
Ramadan was good this year, lucky we didnt fast during daylight savings this year, and lucky for us also it was mostly cold so fasting was easy. I spent almost every day out of the house either eating at my grandmas or eating at someones house or whatever. Ramadans all about people coming together, so there were hardly any times that we were at home, except to sleep of course!
Eid was also good, I'm pretty certain I put back on the 2kg that I had lost, but thats to be expected.
Then after all that I thought I'd go back to my routine of working on the order for my friend (which I was told I could take my time on, but I feel bad) and just some other little things for a cousin of mine whos pregnant and having a baby girl in november, so i whipped up a couple of things for her (which I can't show on here because I know she reads my blog posts :P) Apart from that I think everything can go back to normal now, so it shouldn't be too long before I post another blogpost again. Oh and just before I go, I've added some new items (mainly turkish slippers and some baby items) to my etsy store if you would like to check it out, then click here.
Hope all who read this are doing well. Until the next blogpost, Peace! xx

I kept my promise! Here are a few things that I've been whipping up for the baby order I have that is due on the 8th of july. I've also included some photos of lace that was given to me by my partners mother. This lace is pretty special to me because she had made all that stuff for her own trousseau before she got married, and now she's passed it on to me :) So i've included a caption under each photo of what things are etc. So until the next blog...Stay safe!!

| And this is why! I haven't blogged, or been on etsy (except to check if
I'd sold anything lol) or anything! I thought I'd give myself a little
break and time to make a whole load of stuff (since I went to a market
and wanted enough things to sell) and this is what I have left that you
haven't seen before, so obviously I must have made alot haha. The
market stall was ok, I'd do it again, but most of the people were more
intent on complimenting me for my work, and not actually buying it. I
made more than I payed for the stall so I guess thats a win for me? So
lets work through all these photos and hopefully get back to normal with
the etsy'ing blogging, facebooking and all those other technological
things! |

Apologies...
1:30 AM 0 Comments armenian lace, crochet, doily, igne oyasi, Knitting, knotted lace, oya lace, tablecloth, turkish doily, turkish lace
Loyal followers and lurkers of my blog I wish to apologize for not blogging for a while, I've been extremely busy and grandmas been sick so I've been there and by the time I get home I'm too busy to do anything...Luckily for me I take my work with me!
So I've been lacing it up for the past couple of weeks, even though I was supposed to be making an oya scarf for my partners mother on the 22nd of this month (I still have time) but I'm waiting for my shipment of threads to come as I've picked the scarf but dont have the thread colours for it.
About my laceworks: I made the tablecloth and runner while I was at my grandmothers. I used Oren bayan thread. The 3 doilies are knitted and made by my grandmother from around 30 years ago (I found them while I was cleaning out all of her old clothes shoved at the back of a cupboard) and she gladly gave them to me. Theres 2 oya lace pieces down the bottom left hand corner, one is a motif doily that still needs 3 more motifs to be completed- its a mixture of crochet and Igne oyasi which is totally beautiful, and the other one is a WIP (work in progress) where I'm just playing around with some stitch ideas. Both are made with Nylon thread.

Its been really weird weather here in Melbourne the past week- I think thats why my neighbours have both gone mental.. That story is for another blog post lol.
I promise not to neglect any of you reading this blog again, but sometimes life throws things your way and you dont have time to take photos, sit down and write.
Cheers xx
